Bram Stoker 1847-1912

Mysterious and tormented: that's what we know about Bram Stoker, the creator of Dracula. And, indeed, that is how he must have been to imagine such a bloodthirsty creature. 104 years later, the athor is peraphs not so well remembered but Dracula is certainly still as famous as ever. it's a case of a character that has " eliminated" its athor!

Titanic

Tragedy:

on 14 April, foyr days after leaving Southampton, the Titanic was in the North Atlantic. The sea was calm but visibiolity was low. At 11.40 pm, a lookout was a large iceberg near the ship. 37 seconds later, the Titanic hit the iceberg and the water sentered at the shipAt the first the passengers didn't panic... two hours and 40 minutes later, at 2.20am the  Titanic sank...

Inside the Titanic:

 The Titanic was a luxury ship. Rich passengers paid 865 for a suite decorated in elegamt styles. There was also the famos Grand Staircase wich is in a Titanic too.

The Titanic destination: 

The Titanic's first voyage was from Southampton, in England, to New York City, USA. The ship left on April 1912... but never arrived at her destination.

Who died?

 of the 2224 people on board, anly 710 survived: there were not enough lifeboats. Mosts survivors were woman, children and the rich: 60% of first-class passengers survived. but only 42% of second-class and less than 25% of third-class  passengers survived.

VIDEO GAME

The first video game console came out in 1972. It was called the Magnavox Odyssey.

In 1980, Pacman, the yelloow faces who eats monsters, became the best-selling geme. Seven millon copies were sold. He also became the first recognizable video game caracter.

In 1990 the Game Boy arrived in Europe. People could play video games every where because they were portable. This encouraged the success of games like tetris. Sonic the Hedgehooh also became popular on Sega's consoles.

In 2000 PlayStation and PC's improvied the quality of computer graphics. Microsoft entered the marketwith the Xbox. Players loved 3D envioraments like sims.

Biggest bike:

English man, Colin Furze,has built the worlld'sllongest motorbike. THe bike is 22 metres long, and can hold25 passengers. Colin built the bike in his mother's garden and has travelled more than 1.5kilometreson it.

But who should he fear: Backbeard or Angelica?

English singer Jessie J has a had greatfew months. Her debut album, Who Are You, has been a big hit. It has the singles " Do It Like a Dude", "Prince Tag" and "Nobody's Perfect". Jessie, age 23, singpop, soul and R&B, but she became famous as a songwriter for Miley Cyrus!

SHAKE IT UP

Shake it up, Disney's new TV show for teenagers, began in the USA in 2010. The series is about two schoolfriends, CeCe and Rocky (played by Bella Thorne and Zendaya). In the series, the girls are chosen to dance on their favorite TV dance show. With its humour  and cool dance scenes, the series is a big success in the USA. 

I love English talksto the acctresses, Zendaya and Bella, about the new Disney sensation.

Cards Record:

These scuba divers in Germany playedthe same card game underwater for 36 hours. That's a record, 16 divers  played in shifts so that they cold exchange oxigen tanks. They sat on the bottom of a pooland played a traditional German card game. Crazi!
